Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the front idler and the track adjuster. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Idler and Track Adjuster - Remove".
Remove the track carrier roller. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Carrier Roller - Remove and Install".
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

Push recoil spring (1) to the front of the undercarriage frame.

Remove recoil spring (1) from the front of the undercarriage frame.
Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 for the other side of the recoil spring.
