Handle all parts except for the pivot shaft assembly in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. Return all 2149086/">214-9086 pivot shaft assemblies to the Corinth Core Inspection facility (see address below) with normal core return loads. Rust preventative (1U-8801 or equivalent) should be applied to the bearing and flange surfaces of the pivot shafts. The 2149086/">214-9086 pivot shaft assemblies should also be packaged in the wooden crates that the 325-8041 pivot shafts were shipped in. Dealers should create a "NO CREDIT" return type CCR (Core Credit Request document) within the Core Management Information System (CMIS2). Dealers may use part number 3258041 and/or 2149086 on the CCR and assign to inspection line ?06?. If you have any questions concerning these core returns, you may contact your Core Services Representative in Corinth at 1-800-537-2928.

Rework Procedure
NOTE For NACD Dealers: Save wooden crates that 325-8041 Pivot Shaft Assemblies were shipped in. These crates should be used to return 2149086/">214-9086 Pivot Shaft Assemblies to the address called out in the Parts Disposition section of this Service Letter. Rust preventative (1U-8801 or equivalent) should be applied to the bearing and flange surfaces of the 2149086/">214-9086 Pivot Shaft Assemblies.
1. Remove track roller frames per applicable Disassembly and Assembly Manual.
2. Remove existing pivot shafts from machine.
3. Locate new hole to be drilled in the case and frame.
The hole should be directly between the top two existing tapped holes in the case and frame along an imaginary line between the center of the existing holes.
(See Image 1.5.1)

4. Drill a new 19.75 mm diameter hole to a depth of 30 mm.
This hole combined with the spring pin in the 325-8041 Cambered Pivot Shaft will ensure the pivot shafts are installed with the camber pointing down.
The 19.75 mm diameter hole is larger than the spring pin to allow for fitup tolerances. The spring pin in the 325-8041 Cambered Pivot Shaft should not contact the case when assembled.
5. Install 325-8041 Cambered Pivot Shafts so the spring pin aligns with the new hole drilled in the case and frame. (See Image 1.7.1)

6. Install (8) 7X-2583 Bolts and (8) 183-5105 Washers. (Note: align the washers with the spot faces on the pivot shaft.) Tighten 7X-2583 Bolts to a torque of 1800 +/- 200 N.m (1328 +/- 148 lb ft).
(See Image 1.9.1)

7. Reinstall track roller frames per applicable Disassembly and Assembly Manual.
