Remove engine side guards.
Remove hood.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Remove P-clips (1). Disconnect hoses (2) and hose assembly (3) and position out of the way. Disconnect harness assembly (4).

Disconnect harness assemblies (5) and (8). Remove cable straps (8) and bolts (8).

Disconnect harness assemblies (9). Remove all cable straps (11) and position harness assembly (10) out of the way.

Remove bolt (12). Remove nitrous oxide sensor (13) and disconnect soot sensors (14). Remove plate (15).

Remove clamp (16). Discard clamp (16) as clamp (16) is for one time use only.

Remove bolts (17). Repeat for the other side.

Remove P-clip (19). Remove nitrous oxide sensor (20) and position out of the way. Remove clamp (21) and repeat for opposite end of outlet tube (18). Remove outlet tube (18).

Rear of Clean Emissions Module.
Remove cable straps (23). Disconnect harness assemblies (22) and position out of the way.

Install Tooling (A) and attach suitable lifting device. Remove clean emissions module (23). The weight of clean emissions module (23) is approximately 104 kg (230 lb). Installation Procedure
Install clean emissions module (23) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to threads of nitrous oxide sensor (13) and nitrous oxide sensor (20) prior to installing.
Tighten nitrous oxide sensor (13) and nitrous oxide sensor (20) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).
Install new clamp (16). Tighten clamp (16) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 1 lb ft) with a maximum wrench speed of 75 rpm.

Verify that the cup of the ball joint (E) does not touch the radius of the ball (D). Position ball clamp (16) and hand tighten. Measure Dimension (Y) and Dimension (Z). Dimension (Y) and Dimension (Z) should be equivalent. Repeat the measurements every 90° around ball clamp (16). If necessary, adjust ball clamp (16).
