The oil filter base assembly can be installed incorrectly. Incorrect installation of the base assembly will increase the case drain pressure. Excessive case drain pressure can damage hydraulic pumps and motors.Solution
If you experience the failure of a main hydraulic pump, a swing motor, or a travel motor, make sure that the 126-2076 Oil Filter Base As for the case drain oil filter is installed correctly.The base assembly has an identification mark on the casting that indicates the correct direction of oil flow. The identification mark on the base assembly is shown in Illustration 1. The correct installation of the base assembly is shown in Illustration 2. The proper orientation of the oil filter base assembly for the case drain filter should also be checked during the predelivery inspection of the machine.
