2. Use a suitable jack (1) to lift up slightly on the apron link to remove the tension on the pins. 3. Fasten a nylon strap (2) and a hoist on apron link (5) as shown.4. Remove the bolts, clamps (3) and pins (4) that hold apron link (5) to the frame assembly and the apron. Remove apron link (5). The weight of the apron link is 54 kg (120 lb.). 5. Remove bearings (6) from apron link (5) with a shop press.Install Apron Link
1. Lower the temperature of the bearings and use tooling (A) to install them in apron link (1). 2. Fasten nylon strap (2) and a hoist on apron link (1) and put it into position on the frame assembly. Install pin (3), the clamp and the nuts. 3. If necessary, use a suitable jack (5) to lift slightly on the apron link so pin (4) can be installed.4. Install pin (4), the clamp and the bolts that hold pin (4) in position.
