The weight of the elevator motor is 29 kg (64 lb.). The following steps are for the installation of the elevator motor.4. Be sure the O-ring seal is in position on the elevator motor.5. Install elevator motor (2) on the speed reducer.6. Connect hydraulic hose assemblies (1) to the elevator motor.Disassemble Elevator Motor
START BY:a. remove elevator motor 1. Remove O-ring seal (1) from the elevator body. 2. Remove four bolts (3) that fasten cover (2) to body (4). 3. Remove seal (5) and adapter (6) from body. 4. Remove seals (7) and (8) from adapter (6). 5. Remove retaining ring (9) that holds the bearing and shaft assembly in place. 6. Use a soft hammer to remove shaft assembly (10) from the body. 7. Remove retaining ring (11) from shaft with tool (A). 8. Use a press and tool (B) to remove bearing (13) from shaft (12). Hold the shaft from the bottom so it is not damaged when the bearing is removed. 9. Remove washer (14) from the body. 10. Turn the body over, and remove felt wiper (15). 11. Remove lip-type seal (16) from the body with tool (C). 12. Remove cartridge assembly (18) and O-ring seal (17) from cover. 13. Cartridge assembly (18) is serviced only as a unit. The entire assembly must be replaced if any of the components are damaged. The disassembly of this unit is for cleaning purposes only.14. Remove two bolts at location (X) that fasten plate assembly (21) to ring (20) and plate (19). Remove plate assembly (21) and plate (19) from ring (20). 15. Remove two dowel pins (22) from the ring. 16. Pull the rotor assembly approximately half way out of the ring (20), and install tool (E). Compress the vanes into the rotor, and remove this assembly from ring (20). The vanes and springs are under compression, and the tool is to prevent the loss of vanes or springs. 17. Remove tool (E) from the rotor and vane assembly. 18. Remove vanes (24) and springs (23) from the rotor. Put identification marks on the vanes and springs as to their location in the rotor. 19. Remove flat ring (25) and O-ring seal (26) from plate (19). The flat ring is on top and the O-ring seal is on the bottom.Assemble Elevator Motor
1. Inspect all components before assembly, and make replacements if any parts are damaged. If any cartridge assembly components are in need of repair, the entire assembly must be replaced as a unit since cartridge assembly components are not serviced.2. Put a small amount of hydraulic oil on each component during the assembly procedures. 3. Install O-ring seal (2) and flat ring (1) on plate (3). The O-ring seal is installed on the bottom, and the flat ring is on top as shown. 4. Install
