To prevent personal injury, be sure all personnel are clear of the machine. Sound the horn for several seconds before starting the engine.
Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. Allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again.Turbocharger damage can result, if the engine rpm is not kept low until the engine oil pressure indicator goes out, verifying the engine oil pressure is sufficient.Key must be in run position with engine running to maintain electrical and hydraulic functions and prevent serious machine damage.If the engine does not start, return the key to OFF before returning it to START.
Open the compartment access cover on the right side of the machine.

Turn on the battery disconnect switch.
Close the compartment access door on the right side of the machine.

Place propel lever (1) in the NEUTRAL position.
Place parking brake (2) in the ON position.

Set throttle control (3) to LOW idle.
Hold engine start switch (4) to the START position until the engine starts. Release the switch when the engine starts. Note: The starter motor and the flywheel must stop turning before you engage the starter again.
Allow the engine to idle for three to five minutes before you operate the machine.
