Use Only Approved SCAs and ExtendersConventional coolants require the maintenance addition of SCA throughout the expected life of the coolants. Do NOT use an SCA with a coolant unless approved specifically by the coolant supplier. The coolant manufacturer is responsible for ensuring compatibility and acceptable performance.To help ensure expected performance, EC-1 coolants require the one time maintenance addition of an extender at coolant service mid-life. Do not use an extender with a coolant unless the extender has been approved specifically for use by the coolant manufacturer. Cat S O S coolant analysis is the best way to monitor the condition of your coolant and your cooling system. S O S coolant analysis is a program that is based on periodic samples.
