(3) Relief valve cover (4) Implement control valveThe relief valve is a part on the control valve for the scraper. The relief valve is near the oil line connection from the pump.
Remove plug (2) .
Install the following parts in the hole for plug (2). 8T-0859 Pressure Gauge, 8L-6557 Connector, 6V-3081 Hose Assembly, 5P-3501 Adapter and 4M-5317 Terminal Bushing
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle rpm. Look at the pressure gauge. Move the bowl control lever to the RAISE position. Hold the scraper bowl in this position until the needle in the gauge stops. Do not hold the scraper bowl in the RAISE position for more than 30 seconds. The high reading on the pressure gauge is the pressure setting of the relief valve. The correct pressure setting is 17250 350 kPa (2502 51 psi).

If it is necessary to change the pressure setting of the relief valve, shut off the engine after 5 minutes. Remove relief valve cover (3) from the relief valve. Remove shims (7) in order to decrease the pressure setting of the relief valve. Add shims (7) in order to increase the pressure setting of the relief valve.Note: One 5J-2721 Shim will change the pressure 160 kPa (23 psi). One 5J-2722 Shim will change the pressure 1500 kPa (218 psi).
