START BY:a. remove turbochargerb. remove fuel injection lines

3304 Engine Shown1. Disconnect hose (3) and tube assembly (2) from exhaust manifold (1).2. The weight of the exhaust manifold for 3304 Engines is 35 kg (77 lb.). The weight of the exhaust manifold for 3306 Engines is 45 kg (100 lb.). Install tooling (A) as shown, and fasten a hoist to it.3. Remove nuts (4) exhaust manifold (1) and the gaskets. If necessary, remove the studs from the cylinder head.4. If the studs were removed from the cylinder head, put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the studs, and install them in the cylinder head. Tighten them to a torque of 30 5 N m (22 4 lb.ft.).5. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the studs. Put the gaskets and exhaust manifold (1) in position on the studs, and install the washers and nuts that hold them.6.
