See the replacement article that follows.Certain 3044C engines have had issues with 117-5015 Oil Seal Assembly and 103-9280 Rear Gasket. The issues involve the seals or gaskets that are worn, torn and cut due to dirt. The issues with the seals or gaskets results in an engine oil leak into the flywheel housing. This is seen as oil leakage from the flywheel housing.A plug has been installed to the drain hole for the flywheel housing. This prevents the presence of dirt. This improves the reliability of the oil seal.
