1. Remove bolt (2) and pin (1) that fasten offset cylinder (3) to the steering pivot assembly (7).2. Remove bolt (5) and pin (6) that fasten steering cylinder (4) to steering pivot assembly (7). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side steering cylinder. 3. Remove nuts and bolts (8) and (9) that retain the upper and lower pivot pins. 4. Install a suitable lifting device under steering pivot assembly (7) as shown.5. Use a hammer and a brass punch to remove the upper (not shown) and lower pivot pins (10) from the bores in the rear frame and steering pivot assembly.6. Remove the steering pivot assembly and shims from the rear frame. The weight of the steering pivot assembly is 146 kg (322 lb).7. Make note of the amount and location of shims used for the upper and lower pivot pins.8. If necessary, remove bearings (11) from the steering pivot assembly (7). For installation of the steering pivot assembly, reverse the removal steps.
