Adjusting The Rotor Depth Control Limit Switches
The automatic depth control limit switches are adjustable laterally to set the tolerances within which the depth control operates. The distance between the switches determines the amount of variation in depth control. The variation in depth increases the closer together the switches are positioned. To adjust the limit switches to the minimum tolerance: 1. Loosen the four capscrews which secure the limit switches to their mounts. Slide the switches horizontally until each switch roller is resting in the radius at each end of the cam notch. Tighten the capscrews.2. Raise each limit switch roller 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) and listen for a "click" from inside each switch. If the "click" is heard before or after this point, loosen the roller arm shaft nut and adjust the roller arm until the "click" is heard when the roller is raised 1/16 inch (1.6 mm).Changing The Rear Wheel Tracking
The rear wheels are mounted on a pivoting axle assembly and can track either inside or outside the frame. To change the rear wheel tracking: 1. Park the machine on a hard, level surface and set the automatic/manual cutter depth selector at "Manual". Depress the red rotor depth cutting control until the hood and rotor raise the rear wheels off the ground. Stop the engine. 2. Loosen the axle pivot bolt and remove the axle stationary bolt from each rear wheel.3. Swing the rear wheels to the desired tracking position.4. Install the axle stationary bolt and tighten it, then tighten the axle pivot bolt.5. Start the engine and lower the rear wheels by raising the hood and rotor with the green rotor depth cutting control.
