Typical Example Some oil will drain from the cavity of the pivot shaft when cover (3) is removed from track roller frame (5). Be prepared to catch and properly dispose of the oil.4. Remove the bolts and cover (3).

Remove the three bolts and plate (4) from the pinion shaft.7. Remove the track roller frame assembly from the pinion shaft and equalizer bar (1). Track roller frame assembly weighs:a. 815 kg (1800 lb) for 943 track type loaders.b. 945 kg (2100 lb) for 953 track loaders. It is not necessary to remove the track carrier roller. However, removal of the track carrier roller can aid in aligning the track roller frame and pivot shaft during reassembly. 8. If necessary, use tooling (D) to remove bearings (6) and (7) from the pivot bore of track roller frame (5). The following steps are for the installation of the track roller frame assembly.

Install tooling (C) onto track roller frame (5) and the front idler. Support the track roller frame assembly with a hoist. Lubricate all pins, bushings and bearings with 1P0808 All Purpose Grease when reassembling. 12. Support the track roller frame assembly so that the idler end of the assembly is higher than the pivot end.13. Position track roller frame (5) onto the pinion shaft and equalizer bar (1).
