CONTROL GP-GOVERNOR 1563487 - Caterpillar

1. Remove clamp (1) located below the muffler mounting bracket. 2. Remover clamp (2). Separate the exhaust stack outlet from the heat elbow. 3. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to the muffler and heat shieldpport assembly. Remove two bolts (3) and the washers that hold the heat shieldpport assembly and muffler to the mounting bracket. Remove the heat shieldpport assembly and muffler as a unit. The weight of the unit is 36 kg (80 lb). 4. Remove clamp (6). Separate muffler (5) from heat shieldpport assembly (4). The following steps are for the installation of the muffler group.5. Check the condition of all parts in the muffler group. If any of the parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.6. Install the muffler group in the reverse order of removal.
