Start By:Remove screed. 1. Remove two lines (1). Cap and plug immediately. 2. Remove bolt (2) and remove pin (3). 3. Attach a hoist to cylinder. Remove cotter pin (4), pin (5), and remove screed lift cylinder. For installation, reverse removal steps.End By:Install screed.Disassemble & Assemble Screed Lift Cylinder
1. Remove grease fitting (1) and remove aligning bearing (2).2. Remove two bolts (3), cover (4), lockwire (5), and rod end (6).3. Remove nut (7) and two bushings (8).4. Remove two seals (9) and O-ring (10).5. Remove O-ring (11) and back-up ring (12).6. Remove rod wiper (13) and seal (14). The following steps are for the assembly of the screed lift cylinder. All cylinder components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate components during assembly. Assemble cylinder with all new seals.7. Install seal (14) and rod wiper (13).8. Install back-up ring (12) and O-ring (11).9. Install O-ring (10) and two seals (9).10. Install two bushings (8) and install nut (7).11. Install rod end (6), lockwire (5), cover (4), and two bolts (3).12. Install aligning bearing (2) and grease fitting (1).
