Engine Speed Sensor
Transmission Speed SensorThe transmission electronic control module receives input from the following components: transmission shift lever, engine speed sensor and transmission speed sensor. The transmission electronic control module processes the information. The transmission electronic control module then activates the appropriate transmission solenoids.Note: The transmission shift lever should be in the NEUTRAL position when the key is turned to the ON position. If the shift lever is not in the NEUTRAL position, the shift lever must be returned to the NEUTRAL position. This must be accomplished before a direction can be selected.The neutralizer switch is actuated when the brake pedal is depressed. When the neutralizer switch is actuated, the transmission electronic control module neutralizes the transmission. When the transmission is neutralized, no transmission solenoids are activated. The neutralizer switch can be overridden by the neutralizer override switch. When the neutralizer override switch is activated, the neutralizer override lamp will turn on.
