  Weight: 3 pounds 1 kg.
  Information:
Never charge liquid or vapor refrigerant through the discharge of the compressor with the engine operating.
Note: Always evacuate the system before charging.Note: If the engine is running, charge with vapor through the low side. If the engine is not running, charge with liquid or vapor through the high side.Note: All valves should be closed. Turn clockwise in order to close valves.
Close the hand valves on the manifold gauge set. Turn clockwise in order to close valves. Turn the control switch of the vacuum pump to the OFF position. Remove the hose from the vacuum pump.
Use yellow charging hose (5) to connect a supply tank of refrigerant. A dispensing valve is located on the hose. The supply tank should be connected to valve (9) at the bottom of the charging cylinder. Tighten the connection hand tight.Note: Do not connect the electric plug for the heater.

Charge the system with liquid refrigerant, while the engine is not running. Charge the system through the high pressure side of the compressor. (1) Sight glass (2) Low pressure hand valve (3) High pressure hand valve (4) Plastic cover (5) Charging hose (6) Coupling (discharge) (7) Coupling (suction) (8) Electric plug (9) Valve (10) Line to condenser coil (11) Line from evaporator coil
Turn the supply tank so that the dispensing valve is at the bottom. Opening the valve will allow the refrigerant to enter the charging cylinder as a liquid.
Open the dispensing valve on the supply tank. Turn the handle counterclockwise in order to open the valve. Open valve (9) at the bottom of the charging cylinder. Open the valve at the top of the charging cylinder. Open a small amount in order to release the air from the cylinder. The valve at the top of the cylinder is located behind the pressure gauge. After a small amount of time, close the valve at the top of the cylinder. Close the valve at the bottom of the cylinder when a small amount of refrigerant is observed. Observe the refrigerant in sight glass (1) of the charging cylinder. Closing valve (9) at the bottom of the cylinder stops the flow of refrigerant. Make a note of the gauge reading on the top of the charging cylinder. The gauge gives the pressure reading of the refrigerant inside the charging cylinder.
Turn plastic cover (4) on the charging cylinder until the correct scale is over the sight glass. Turn plastic cover (4) until the pressure reading on the gauge is for the refrigerant. Note: When the amount of refrigerant in the cylinder is measured the correct scale for the refrigerant must be used. The 9U-64939U-7938 Charging cylinders will have additional scales for measuring refrigerant other than R-134a.
Open valve (9) at the bottom of the charging cylinder. The valve allows refrigerant to flow from the supply tank to the charging cylinder. Close valve (9) when the liquid level in sight glass (1) is in alignment with the mark on the plastic cover. The mark on the cover should equal
