The following table lists the event codes that apply to the Implement control system. The recommended response is listed. Use Cat® ET to determine if the event codes are active or logged.

Event Codes For Implement ECM (MID 82)
EID (Level) Description Possible Cause or Recommended Response
E861 (1) Clock Manual Alignment Required Probable Cause: The ECM internal clock is too far out of alignment with the other control module clocks on the machine
Recommended Actions: Use Cat® ET to align the clock with the other control modules
E875 (1) Low System Voltage Probable Cause: Event code is active when the system voltage is less than 18 VDC for greater than 30 seconds.
Recommended Actions: Search Cat® ET for any diagnostic codes related to voltage and troubleshoot the problem.
E875 (2) Low System Voltage Probable Cause: Event is active when the system voltage is less than 18 VDC for more than 60 seconds.
Recommended Actions: The machine returns to normal operation when the voltage exceeds 18 VDC for more than 2 seconds.
E876 (1) High System Voltage Probable Cause: Event code is active when the system voltage is greater than 32 VDC for more than 30 seconds.
Recommended Actions: Search Cat® ET for any diagnostic codes related to voltage and troubleshoot the problem.
E876 (3) High System Voltage Immediate Safe Shutdown Machine Of Machine Required.
Probable Cause: Event is active when the system voltage exceeds 32 VDC for more than 60 seconds.
Recommended Actions: Move the machine to a safe location and shut down the machine. Use Cat® ET to identify diagnostic codes related to high voltage. Use the appropriate troubleshooting procedure to correct the source of the excess voltage.
E878 (2) High Hydraulic Oil Temperature Probable Cause: When hydraulic oil temperature is greater than 99° C (210° F) for more than 3 seconds. Deactivates when hydraulic oil temperature is less than 97° C (207° F) for greater than 1 second.
Recommended Actions: 1) Modify machine operation to reduce system load. 2) Check the hydraulic oil level. 3.) Check hydraulic cooling system. Clean the hydraulic oil cooler, if needed.
E878 (3) High Hydraulic Oil Temperature Immediate Safe Shutdown Machine Of Machine Required.
Probable Cause: When hydraulic oil temperature is greater than 101° C (214° F) for more than 2.5 seconds. Deactivates when hydraulic oil temperature is less than 99° C (210° F) for greater than 1 second.
Recommended Actions: 1) Modify machine operation to reduce system load. 2) Check the hydraulic oil level. 3.) Check hydraulic cooling system. Clean the hydraulic oil cooler, if needed. 4.) Ensure that air is not in the oil and the viscosity of the oil is correct. 5.) Check for a restriction in oil flow due to a bent hose, a bent tube, or a restriction in an oil passage. 6.) Check hydraulic pump for excessive wear.
E1177 (2) Elevator Charge Pump Filter Plugged Probable Cause: The filter is plugged and the pressure at the filter is greater than 172 kPa (25 psi) .
Recommended Actions: Replace the filter at the earliest convenient time.
