Information:
to Testing and Adjusting, RENR1126, "Pressure Adjustment" for instructions on adjusting the other line relief valves.
Refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR1126, "Pressure Adjustment" for the necessary preparations. These preparations include the following steps: connecting the pressure gauge, temporarily increasing the relief pressure of the main relief valve and setting a constant power shift pressure.Note: The front pump operates the grapple cylinders. Use the pressure reading from the pressure tap for the front pump to adjust the line relief valve for the grapple.
Operate the grapple until the grapple is in the OPEN position. Do not release the switch for the grapple. Read the pressure. The line relief valves for the grapple are located on the top and on the bottom of the main control valve behind the spool for the grapple. Adjust the line relief valve on the top of the main control valve. Adjust the valve to the specifications of the grapple. The manufacturer of the grapple provides the specifications.
Operate the grapple to the CLOSED position. Do not release the switch for the grapple. Read the pressure. Adjust the line relief valve on the bottom of the main control valve to the specifications of the grapple. The manufacturer of the grapple provides the specifications.
Restore the machine to operating condition by returning all temporary settings to the original settings.
