1. Fasten a hoist to shaft assembly (1). Remove bolts (2). Install two 7/8 " - 9 NC forcing screws in shaft assembly (1). Tighten the forcing screws evenly. Drain the transmission oil and remove shaft assembly (1). The weight of the shaft assembly is 39 Kg (85 lb). Drain the transmission oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - Change".2. If necessary, remove ring (3) from shaft assembly (1). The following steps are for installation of the pivot shafts.3. If ring (3) was removed from the shaft assembly, heat the ring to a maximum temperature of 135° C (275° F). Install ring (3) on shaft assembly (1).4. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the surface of shaft assembly (1) that fits in the counterbore in the main frame case.5. Fasten a hoist to shaft assembly (1).
