ACTION REQUIRED
Make sure the engine is in a non-running condition. If possible, perform a lock out/tag out procedure on the start/stop switch or button while maintaining a 24VDC power supply to the engine's ECM.
Download the software from SIS Web and install the software via Cat ET. If you are using an older version of Cat ET, there is a possibility of a window popping up. See Image1. Click "Yes" and proceed with the installation.
To verify the new software was installed, click on the ECM summary tab in Cat ET and confirm the software part number is loaded in the "Personality Module Part Number."
For 2250HP engines, install the 421-3142 Software.
For 2500HP engines, install the 421-5597 Software.
