Relieve pressure in hydraulic system before disconnecting or removing any hydraulic lines or components. See RELIEVING PRESSURE IN LOADER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM in DISASSEMBLY & ASSEMBLY.
1. With the diesel engine shut off, repeatedly apply the foot brakes until the brake oil pressure gauge indicates zero oil pressure.
Do not attempt to disconnect any brake oil lines until brake oil pressure has been relieved.
2. Drain the oil from rear hydraulic tank. Block the front and rear wheels of loader. 3. Remove the seat assembly and cab front floor plate. Remove knobs (1) from control levers. Remove the three cover plates (2). 4. Disconnect all flexible oil lines (3) from the pilot control valves. Cut the straps that retain pilot lines to rear section of loader. Pull the pilot lines clear of rear section of loader. 5. Disconnect steering cylinders (7) from front section of loader.6. Disconnect brake oil supply line (6) from front section of loader.7. Disconnect the rear hydraulic tank oil return line (4) from pipe (5).8. Disconnect drive shaft (8) at both ends, and move shaft aside until it clears pivot pin. 9. Disconnect steering follow-up linkage (10) from front section of loader. Disconnect the pump-to-front hydraulic tank oil lines (9) from front section of loader. Disconnect wiring (11) from front section of loader.10. Release the emergency and parking brake as follows: a) Remove the three bolts (13) from storage holes in retainer plate.b) Install the three bolts in the threaded holes (12), and tighten bolts until solid resistance is felt.11. Position tool setup (A) under rear of front main frame. Place tool setup (B) under rear of rear main frame.12. Remove the steering gear support bracket mounting bolts, and swing the steering gear and bracket clear of the top pivot pin. 13. Remove the four upper pivot pin retaining plate mounting bolts (14). Using tool setup (A) and (B), raise each section of loader as necessary to relieve bind on top pivot pin. Using a hydraulic jack, press the top pivot pin out the top of frame.14. Remove the two pieces of floor grating from over transfer drive and transmission. Install a 3/4"-10NC forged eyebolt in top of transfer drive housing, and attach a hoist. 15. Remove six of the ten lower pivot pin retaining plate mounting bolts. Install the six bolts (15) from tool setup (D).16. Remove the remaining four plate mounting bolts, and lower the plate (16) down onto heads of bolts. Install the hydraulic puller (17) from tool setup (D). Be sure the six bolts are equally tightened.17. Using tool setup (D) and suitable spacers, remove lower pivot pin-weight 80 lb. (36 kg). Remove tool setup (D) and retaining plate (16). Remove spacer (18). 18. Position a lift truck under rear of rear main frame, and remove tool setup (B). Using the hoist and lift truck, move the rear main frame clear of front main frame. Weight balance of rear main frame is approximately 2400 lb. (1090 kg) rearward with 20% (1/5 tank) of
