Illustration 2 g00460600The high pressure screens for the implement pumps are located in the articulation joint on the front frame. Screen (1) is for the center implement pump. Screen (2) is for the left implement pump. Screen (3) is for the right implement pump. Clean the screens whenever an implement pump fails.

Illustration 4 g00540418The high pressure screens for the steering pumps are located in the articulation joint on the rear frame. There are two screens. Clean the screens whenever a steering pump fails.
Remove the plug at the bottom of the filter housing. Allow the oil to drain from the filter housing into a suitable container.
Use a strap type wrench to remove the filter housing.
Clean the screen, the filter housing, and the filter mounting base in a clean, nonflammable solvent.
Check the condition of the screen. Replace any screen that is damaged.
Check the condition of the filter housing seal. Replace any seal that is damaged.
Install the clean screen in the filter housing. Install the filter housing on the filter mounting base.
Start the engine and run the engine at low idle. Inspect the screens for leaks.
