Procedure
Remove the old Service Meter Group from the machine.
Take note of the color and the number on the ground and signal wires. Disconnect the signal wire and the ground wire from the old Service Meter Group.
The machine model will determine the type of connection terminals. The original connection terminals to the old Service Meter Group will be one of the following:
Separate spade terminals
7N-9738 Receptacle Housing
7Y-3952 Plug Connector
If separate spade terminals are present, proceed to Step 4.a. If 7N-9738 Receptacle Housing is present, proceed to Step 4.b. If a 7Y-3952 Plug connector is present, proceed to Step 4.c.

Connect the Signal wire that was removed from the old Service Meter Group to the Terminal (S) on the new Service Meter Group. Connect the negative wire that was removed from the old Service Meter Group to the Terminal (-) (ground) of the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1.

9W-1411 Wire As
Connect a 9W-1411 Wire to the 7N-9738 Receptacle Housing as follows:Note: Make a note of the color and the number of the Ground (-) wire and Signal wire before you disconnect the old Service Meter Group .
Connect the wire that went to the positive terminal of the old Service Meter Group to Terminal "S" (Signal) on the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1.
Connect the wire that went to the negative terminal of the old Service Meter Group to Terminal "-" (Ground) on the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1.

7Y-3952 Plug Connector
Connect a 200-5722 Wire As to the 7Y-3952 Plug Connector as follows:
Connect the red wire (male terminal) from the 200-5722 Wire As to the bottom of the 7Y-3952 Plug Connector . Refer to Illustration 4 and Illustration 5.
Connect the black wire (male terminal) from the 200-5722 Wire As to the top of the 7Y-3952 Plug Connector . Refer to Illustration 4 and Illustration 5.
Connect the red wire (female end) from the 200-5722 Wire As to Terminal "S" (Signal) of the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 4.
Connect the black wire (female end) from the 200-5722 Wire As to Terminal "-" (ground) of the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 4.
The unswitched Battery (+) connection is necessary for viewing while the machine is shut down. When the key is in the Off position, this connection is needed in order to view the service meter display. This connection is not necessary for the service meter to properly maintain service hours.
Connect the 200-5719 Wire (provided in the Service Meter Kit ) to the Terminal (+) of the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1.
Locate a Battery (+)
Remove the old Service Meter Group from the machine.
Take note of the color and the number on the ground and signal wires. Disconnect the signal wire and the ground wire from the old Service Meter Group.
The machine model will determine the type of connection terminals. The original connection terminals to the old Service Meter Group will be one of the following:
Separate spade terminals
7N-9738 Receptacle Housing
7Y-3952 Plug Connector
If separate spade terminals are present, proceed to Step 4.a. If 7N-9738 Receptacle Housing is present, proceed to Step 4.b. If a 7Y-3952 Plug connector is present, proceed to Step 4.c.

Connect the black wire (male terminal) from the 200-5722 Wire As to the top of the 7Y-3952 Plug Connector . Refer to Illustration 4 and Illustration 5.
Connect the red wire (female end) from the 200-5722 Wire As to Terminal "S" (Signal) of the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 4.
Connect the black wire (female end) from the 200-5722 Wire As to Terminal "-" (ground) of the new Service Meter Group. Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 4.
