Loosen bolts (3) and (5) to allow sector (4) to be repositioned.
Loosen bolts (6) to allow block (7) to be repositioned.

Move block (7) to position spring (12) in the third gear detent of cam (11).
Through slotted hole (8) in sector (4), align hole (9) in cam (11) over hole (10) in the cam follower, and tighten bolts (6).

Remove plug assembly (13) and plug (14).

Move cam (11) to position spring (12) in the fourth gear detent.
Install plug assembly (13) in the port for plug (14).
Move sector (4) as required to insert the tip of the alignment tool, attached to plug assembly (13) between the teeth on sector (4) marked "V".
Tighten bolts (3) and (5). Remove plug assembly (13) and install in original position, install plug (14).

With cam (11) still in the fourth gear detent, loosen locknut (16) and rotate the shift spool connected to rod (15) as required to achieve 99 mm (3.9 inch) at dimension A.
Tighten locknut (16).
Move cam (11) to position spring (12) in the third gear detent.

Loosen locknut (18). Adjust speed control rod (19) so that large diameter (17) is even with surface (B) on the valve body. Tighten locknut (18). Failure to tighten locknut (18) may result in the transmission not shifting.
Loosen locknut (20). Adjust directional spool rod (22) so that the end of directional control spool (21) is even with surface (B) on the valve body. Tighten locknut (20).
Move cam (11) to position spring (12) in the neutral detent.

Loosen locknut (20). Adjust directional spool rod (22) so that the large diameter of directional control spool (21) is even with surface (B) on the valve body. Tighten locknut (20). Failure to tighten locknut (20) may result in the transmission not shifting.
Move cam (11) through all gear positions to ensure that rod (15) does not bind on bolt (5).
Move cam (11) to the fourth gear detent.
Install covers (1) and (2) removed in Step 1.
