Creating a Level Surface
Creating a level surface onboard the machine with the GRADE with 3D system requires a project name and an elevation in depth and slope mode.

From the Job Setup screen, a project can be created and named. The "Depth and Slope" mode can be selected from the drop down.

(1) Bench Heading
With "Depth and Slope" mode selected, the GRADE with 3D system requires a benched heading for the system. The heading is not critical for a level design surface but is critical if the "Depth and Slope" Mode design surface is more complex and will require a specific alignment on the jobsite.

For a level design surface, the design mainfall and the design cross slope should both be selected as level.Once the level slopes are selected, the desired elevation can be benched by positioning the blade focus point at the desired elevation and pressing the bench button.
