Removal Procedure

Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Position the stick and bucket (1) as shown.

Position O-ring seals (2) from the pin joint onto the flanges of bucket (1).
Remove nuts (3) and bolt (4). Remove pin assembly (5).

Remove nuts (6) and bolt (7). Remove pin assembly (8).

In order to remove bucket adjuster, remove bolts (12), plate (11) and shims (10). Use a suitable hammer and brass punch to remove flange (9) from bucket (1). Installation Procedure

Make sure the stick pin bore, the bucket pin bores, the bucket pins, the flanges and the O-rings are thoroughly clean prior to installation of the bucket.

Apply a thin coat of Tooling (A) on the bore and the outside machined surface of flange (9).
Use a suitable hammer in order to install flange (9) into the bucket.

Apply a thin coat of Tooling (A) on pin assembly (8). Install pin assembly (8) through the stick and bucket.
Add or remove shims (10) between the plate and the flange until Dimension (Y) is achieved. Set Dimension Y to a clearance of 0.50 to 1.00 mm (0.020 0.040 inch). There are two different thicknesses of shims. Use a minimum of three shims (10).

Apply a thin coating of Tooling (A) on pin assembly (5). Position pin assembly (5) through the bucket linkage and the bucket. Install bolt (4) and nuts (3).
Tighten nuts (3), as shown. Tighten the outside nut until the nut is 0.50 mm (0.02 inch) beyond the end of the retaining bolt. Tighten the inside nut against the outside nut to a torque of 105 20 N m (77 15 lb ft).
