Problem
The existing 7C4714 Adapter in the 9Y4888 Emergency Oil Connection Group may not have a hole on certain 3508, 3512, and 3516 Marine and Generator Set Engines. With no hole in the adapter, oil can not be pumped through the emergency oil connection group. A new adapter needs to be installed to replace the existing adapter in the front of the oil pan.

Action Required
***** Parts Stock ***** Remove all 7C4714 Adapters from parts stock that do not have a hole in the end as shown in the Illustration. ***** Affected Product ***** Drain the oil from the engine and remove the 7C4714 Adapter from the front of the oil pan. Remove the screen and cover from the adapter and attach them to a new adapter with a hole in the end as shown in the Illustration. Install the adapter in the oil pan and fill the engine with oil. ****** IMAGE:
