The front face of the flywheel housing group and the rear face of the cylinder block must be free of oil, fuel, water, dirt, assembly compounds, and any other contaminants during assembly. The gasket for the flywheel housing group must be free of contaminants during assembly.
- - - Use the following procedure to tighten the flywheel housing bolts:
1. Torque to the bolts through (1) to (9) 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft), and bolts (10) through (24) 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft).
2. Loosen all bolts one full turn.
3. Retorque the bolts (1) through (9) 135 20 N m (100 15 lb ft), and retorque the bolts (10) through (24) 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
1 1 5F-0304 Plug Torque to 35 14 N m (26 10 lb ft).
2 - - Apply a small amount of 8T-9022 Silicone Gasket in order to fill the space between the cylinder block, the flywheel housing, and the oil pan.
- - - Apply a small amount of 8T-9022 Silicone Gasket in order to bottom of flywheel housing joint immediately prior to housing installation.
