Always wear goggles when the air conditioning system is opened. This system is charged with Freon-12 (CCL2F2 Dichlorodifluoromethane) which is not toxic or flammable. But there is a reason for caution. When Freon-12 makes contact with a flame, lethal phosgene gas is made. INHALING FREON THROUGH A LIGHTED CIGARETTE CAN CAUSE VIOLENT ILLNESS. This system is under pressure at all times, engine running or not. HEAT MUST NEVER BE PUT ON A CHARGED SYSTEM. 1. Release the Freon-12 from the system. See Air Conditioning And Heating, Purging The System, Form No. SENR7454. 2. Remove the bolts that hold door assembly (1) in place and swing door open. 3. Remove the bolts that hold strap (2) to the radiator, and remove the strap.4. Remove the four bolts that hold bracket (3) in place, and remove the bracket. 5. Disconnect two hoses (5) from condenser (4).6. Remove the five bolts that hold condenser (4) to the radiator, and remove the condenser.Install Air Conditioning Condenser

1. Put condenser (1) in position in the radiator guard, and install the five bolts that hold it. 2. Make sure the O-ring seals are in place on the refrigerant lines, and connect refrigerant lines (2) to the condenser. 3. Put strap (3) and bracket (4) in position on the radiator, and install the bolts that hold them in place.4. Install bracket (5). 5. Close doors (6) on the radiator guard, and install the bolts that hold them.
