To prevent possible personal injury, make sure all the pressure in the air system has been released before any air lines are disconnected.
1. Drain the oil from the makeup tank, and release the air pressure from the system. 2. Disconnect hose (3) from elbow (1). Remove elbow (1) from service brake master cylinder rotochamber (2).3. Disconnect hoses (4) and (5) from the makeup oil tank. 4. Disconnect hose (6) from the master cylinder and rotochamber.5. Remove the bolts and plate (7) that hold the master cylinder and rotochamber to the hydraulic tank. 6. The weight of the master cylinder and rotochamber is 36 kg (80 lb.). Install tooling (A), and fasten a hoist to it as shown.7. Remove the bolts and nuts (8) that hold the master cylinder and rotochamber to the hydraulic tank. Remove the master cylinder and rotochamber.8. Disconnect the two hoses from the master cylinder and rotochamber.Install Service Brake Master Cylinder And Rotochamber
1. Connect hoses (2) and (3) to master cylinder and rotochamber (1).2. Put master cylinder and rotochamber (1) in position on the hydraulic tank with tooling (A), and install the two nuts and bolts that hold it. 3. Connect hoses (2) and (3) to the makeup oil tank.4. Install elbow (5), and connect hose (4) to it. 5. Install bracket (6) that holds the master cylinder and rotochamber to the hydraulic tank.6. Connect hose (7) to the master cylinder and rotochamber.7. Fill the makeup oil tank to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.8. Remove (bleed) the air from the brake system. See Testing And Adjusting for the correct procedure to bleed the brake system.
