3. Put identification on electrical cables (1) and (3) for assembly. Disconnect the electrical cables from emergency steering pump assembly (2). 4. Disconnect oil outlet hose (4) that goes to the flow control valve. 5. Disconnect oil inlet hose (5) that comes from the steering system tank. 6. Use two persons to hold the emergency steering pump assembly and remove four nuts (6) and lockwashers. Remove the pump from the frame. The weight of the emergency steering pump assembly is 55 lb. (25 kg). 7. Remove bolts (8) and (10). Remove pump (9) from electric motor (7).Install Emergency Steering Pump
1. Put pump (2) in position on motor (1). Install the two bolts and lockwashers that fasten the pump to the motor. 2. Use two persons to put emergency steering pump assembly (4) in position on the frame. Install four nuts (3) and lockwashers that fasten the pump to the frame. The weight of the emergency steering pump is 55 lb. (25 kg). 3. Connect oil inlet hose (5) from the steering system tank to the emergency steering pump. 4. Connect oil outlet hose (6) that goes to the flow control valve to the emergency steering pump. 5. Connect two electrical cables (7) and (8) to the terminals on the emergency steering pump motor.6.
