WINCH ASSEMBLY
1. Sprocket. 2. Boom line drum. 3. Load line drum. 4. Clutch inner jaw (two). 5. Clutch outer jaw (two). 6. Shaft. 7. Collar assembly (two).Shaft (6) is turned by a chain from the winch transmission through sprocket (1). Clutch outer jaw (5) is held to the shaft by a key. The clutch outer jaw is in rotation inside of collar assembly (7). These components are always in rotation when the winch transmission is in FORWARD or REVERSE, the power take-off clutch is engaged and the engine is running.Load line drum (3) will be put into rotation when the control linkage for the load line clutch moves collar assembly (7) which causes clutch outer jaw (5) to engage clutch inner jaw (4). The clutch inner jaw is held to the drum by bolts. Boom line drum (2) is put in rotation in the same way at the other end of the shaft. When the clutch control linkage is released, the collar will move the clutch outer jaw away from the clutch inner jaw. The drum will stay in rotation (free turning) under a cable load until it is stopped by its brake.Counterweight Hydraulics
COUNTERWEIGHT ARRANGEMENT
1. Counterweights. 2. Hydraulic cylinder.An optional counterweight arrangement fastened on the right side of the machine improves the machine's stability. The counterweight group consists of: a frame, counterweights (1), hydraulic cylinder (2) and a hydraulic system.

3. Counterweight control lever.The location of counterweight control lever (3) is to the right of the operator. Movement of the control lever causes the control valve spool to move. The control valve sends oil to the hydraulic cylinder either lift or lower the counterweights in position to keep the boom load in balance.

Oil line to cylinder head end.The return oil flow from the cylinder rod end is limited by flow control valve (4) when the counterweights are lowered. The counterweight hydraulic system is made up of a hydraulic pump and a control valve. The supply of oil for the system comes from the tractor transmission oil system. The filter and cooler from the tractor transmission oil system is also used.Hydraulic pump (1) is fastened to the power take-off housing at the rear of the engine. The hydraulic pump is a vane-type pump and a supply of oil from the pump is available at all times when the engine is running.
COUNTERWEIGHT PUMP
1. Hydraulic pump.The location of control valve (2) is to the right of the operator's seat. The control valve has three positions RAISE, HOLD and LOWER. The valve spool is put in the center by a spring in the HOLD position.
