Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Inspect the condition of all of the seals for the exhaust system. Replace any seals, if necessary.
Use the following steps to install one section of the exhaust manifold.

Install O-ring seal (14) on the cylinder head and O-ring seal (13) between each section of exhaust manifold (9) and the bellows assembly.
Position exhaust manifold (9) on the engine. Use Tooling (A) on threads of bolt (11). Position spacer (12) and install bolts (11) that hold exhaust manifold (9) to the cylinder head.

Use Tooling (A) on threads of bolt (11). Install bolts (11) that hold each section of exhaust manifold (9) and bellows assembly (10) together. Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 47 5 N m (35 4 lb ft). Note: Ensure that any bellows assemblies are not damaged with any tools.
Tighten bolts (11) again to a torque of 47 5 N m (35 4 lb ft).
Repeat these steps for each section of the exhaust manifold that must be installed.

Install the O-ring seal and position manifolds (1) and (3). Install bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 47 5 N m (35 4 lb ft).
Install O-ring seal (8) and position housing (7).
Install coupling (5) and clamps (6) on housing (7).
Install bellows assemblies (4) on manifolds (1) and (3). End By:
Install the exhaust bypass valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Bypass Valve - Remove and Install".
Install the turbochargers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
Install the exhaust elbow. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Elbow - Remove and Install".
