Position Sensor (Tilt Lever) SchematicThis fault is recorded when the ECM determines that the tilt lever position sensor signal is too low. The tilt lever position sensor is a PWM type of sensor. The tilt lever position sensor signal wire H711-GN connects to connector contact J2-5 of the ECM. Service Notes: Ensure that the CID 0353 FMI 01 fault is on hold and that the fault present indicator is ON. An FMI 01 fault is recorded when the ECM has read a sensor value that is less than the specified lower range of the sensor. Possible causes of the FMI 01 fault follow:
The position sensor could rotate farther than normal in one direction. This would cause the ECM to record a FMI 01 fault.
The position sensor signal wire is shorted to ground.
