CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 4D7850 - Caterpillar

1. Use tooling (A) to remove the oil filter element (2). 2. Remove the inlet and outlet oil lines (1) to the oil filter base. 3. Remove four bolts that hold the oil filter base (3) to the engine. Remove the oil filter base.Install Oil Filter Base
1. Put the oil filter base (1) in position on the engine. Install the four bolts that hold it to the engine. 2. Install the inlet and outlet oil lines (2) on the oil filter base.3. Install the oil filter element (3) on the oil filter base.
Do not tighten the oil filter element too tight. Hand tighten only.
4. Start the engine. Check the oil level. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE for the correct levels.
