Information:
Adjust Seat
Adjust seat at the beginning of each shift or when changing operators.Adjust seat to allow full travel of brake pedal when seated against seat back.Seat must be adjusted with the engine running, and operator seated.
Height
Move lever forward to raise seat or to the rear to lower seat.Lateral
Move lever to the right to slide seat forward or backward as required. Release lever and move seat slightly to lock.Ride
Move lever up for a firmer ride or down for a softer ride.Testing Controls
Fasten seat belt.Air pressure must be in operating range.
1. Release emergency brake by pushing button. Be sure button stays in. 2. Apply service brakes. 3. Release the PARKING BRAKE.
Damage to PARKING BRAKE will occur if machine is moved with the brake applied.
4. Pull lever to raise bowl just enough to clear obstacles. 5. Turn transmission neutral lock OFF. Move SELECTOR to desired range.6. Release service brakes and depress accelerator.
Keep transmission engaged on a downgrade. Never coast.
7. Use service brake and retarder to control speed on downgrades or when entering turns, fill area, or cut.8. Apply service brake to stop machine.Emergency Stops
Stop machine immediately if LOW AIR PRESSURE LIGHT goes on or electric horn sounds. There may be a malfunction of the braking system.Do not use emergency brake as a parking brake. Complete loss of air pressure will cause the brake to release.
1. Pull EMERGENCY BRAKE BUTTON if service brakes fail to stop the machine. Emergency brakes will apply automatically if air pressure drops to 30 psi (205 kPa).2. Set parking brake when machine stops. Gauges
Monitor all gauges and warning lights frequently during operation. Stop machine and investigate improper readings.Stop operation and stop engine immediately if loss of engine oil pressure occurs, LOW COOLANT FLOW LIGHT goes on, or air horn sounds. Correct malfunction before attempting to start the engine. If converter and retarder temperature indicates in red range, stop machine and operate engine at high idle to allow oil to cool. If cooling system temperature indicates in red range, stop machine and check for coolant leaks. Operate engine at high idle with no load, if no leak is found. Stop engine if coolant is leaking.
