(9) Access cover boltsTo access the clamp entering the arm, remove two bolts (9) that secure the access cover. Remove the bracket (8) to free the clamp. Once inspection or repair is complete, install the bracket back onto the clamp. Install the access cover and tighten the cover bolts to 28 N m (21 lb ft).Rework Procedure
This rework can be done with the lift arms fully down, but raising to mid-height may help. If the arms are raised, brace the lift cylinder with a short arm brace or support the lift arms with an overhead hoist.
Disconnect the clamps from the hoses. Use a 13 mm socket or wrench to remove the bolts. If not replacing all clamps, it is still helpful to free all locations. If the orientation tape is missing from the hose, apply a stripe on the hose with a paint pen. The stripe ensures that the hose is placed in the same location on the new clamp.

1.Cut/grind off weld plates (1) equipped with the threaded boss for the clamp. Do not grind off block (2) at the arm clamp.

Position nut (3) in the center of one of the holes on clip (4). Weld the nut to the clip. Weld around the entire diameter of the nut filling the slots. Repeat for the remaining clip hole.

Position clip (4) into place on the arm block or over the previous clamp holes for tower clamps. Center the clip and clamp into place for welding.

Apply fillet welds along the top and bottom of the clip to secure it to the block or frame.

Install grommet (5) and route the hoses through, aligning the tape or pen marks on the hose to clip (6). Secure the clips with two 8T-4121 Hard Washers and two 8T-4186 Bolts. Tighten the bolts to 55 N m (41 lb ft).Tower Clamps Only:

To bolt the clips together, it is necessary to place a tie strap through the top hole and then compress the clips together with vise grips. Refer to Illustration 9. Then install one washer and one 8T-4186 Bolt into bottom hole using a 16 mm socket or wrench. This longer bolt helps to start the threads and bring the clips together. Use a short wrench to screw the bolt down, as there is limited space. Then install a washer and shorter 8T-4136 Bolt into the top hole. The shorter bolt is needed in this top hole because the angled rear tower sheet causes interference when trying to start the longer bolt.
