Make sure that the other Duo-Cone seal kit (15) is properly installed into the wheel. Apply a small amount of the lubricant that is being sealed to Duo-Cone seal kit (15) .

Attach Tooling (A) to housing (13) . The weight of housing (13) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb). Install housing (13) .

Install O-ring seal (14) . Install damper assembly (19) . Install plates (16) and friction discs (17) . Install damper assembly (18) .Note: Damper assemblies (18) and (19) are located at each end of the brake pack. The friction material of damper assemblies (18) and (19) should face toward the piston assembly and the plate, as shown. Damper assembly (19) should be installed first. Then install friction disc (17) . Install plates (16) and friction discs (17) in alternating order.

Install seals (12) onto piston (10) , as shown.

Use the suitable lifting device in order to install cover (5) onto piston (10) . The weight of cover (5) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Install pins (8) and springs (11) . Use a suitable bar or Tooling (C) in order to press pins (8) downward and install pin (9) .

Insert Tooling (A) and (B) into threaded holes of cover (5) . Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) , Tooling (B) and cover (5) . The weight of cover (5) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb). Install cover (5) .
Install bolts (4) . Install O-ring seal (6) onto cover (5) .

Earlier Machines
Earlier machines were not equipped with a center screw and a locknut for compressing the service brakes. Remove Tooling (D) from the brake housing assembly for earlier machines.

Later Machines
Install center screw (3) . Tighten center screw (3) to compress the piston. Turn center screw (3) counterclockwise for 2 and 1/2 turns. Use Tooling (E) in order to hold center screw (3) stationary while you tighten nuts (2) in order to lock center screw (3) in place. Tighten nuts (2) to a torque of 70 10 N m (52 7 lb ft).Note: Only later machines were equipped with center screw (3) and nut (2) .

Install three plugs (1) .End By: Install the spindle, the service brakes, and the wheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Spindle, Service Brake, and Wheel (Front and Center) - Install".
