Isolate the Generator set before commencing any work on the unit, open alternator set breaker, activate Emergency Stop, and disconnect battery cables.Ensure that all health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times. Also, ensure proper Lock Out-Tag Out procedures are followed at all times while work is being performed on the machine. Lock out generator set before commencing any type of work.Only qualified repair personnel should service this equipment.Tools Required

Insulation Tape and Clamp Installation Procedure

Exhaust Elbow
(1) 246-0992 Tape ( 2000 mm (79 inch))
Install 2000 mm (79 inch) of insulation tape (1) onto exhaust from the flange of the exhaust elbow to the outlet of the elbow as outlined in Illustration 2. There should be a 30-50% overlap for the insulation tape (1) as you are wrapping the elbow. Cut off any excess tape after the entire length of the pipe is wrapped.

Install clamps (2), one at each end of the tube as shown in Illustration 3. Torque clamps to 7.5 1 N m (66 9 lb in).Harness Shielding Installation Procedure for 02 Sensor Harness Connector

(2) Tie Strap
Cut tie straps (2) to harness connector and pull all slack out of the 02 sensor loom while moving the connector away from the exhaust manifold as far as possible. Refer to Illustrations 4 and 5.
Install sleeve (1) as shown in 4 and tie strap harness back together.
Restore Generator Set to proper configuration and readiness status for customer use.
