(1) 3B-8486 Grease FittingNew grease fitting (1) replaces the former plug (B) in the slip joint group of the drive shaft group.New grease fitting (1) is adaptable to the machines and effective in production with the machines that are listed in Table 1.

Remove the plug (B) on the slip joint end of the driveshaft.

Install new grease fitting (1) on the slip joint end of the drive shaft group.
Tighten grease fitting (1) to 17 3 N m (150 26 lb in).
Apply Ultra 5 Grease or Advanced 3 Moly Grease to the drive shaft every 250 hours or monthly.Note: Install grease fitting only to drive shaft groups with grease plugs. Do not modify drive shaft group that do not have a grease plug.
