Remove bolt (13) and the clip from the engine.

Remove four bolts (14) and clip (15) from elbow (16) . Separate elbow (16) and the gasket from aftercooler (3) .

Remove elbow (16) and the gasket from tube assembly (17) .

Loosen retaining nut (18) and disconnect tube (19) from aftercooler (3) .

Install Tooling (A) , two nylon lifting straps and a hoist to the aftercooler, as shown.

Remove 12 bolts (20) from aftercooler (3) . Remove the aftercooler from the engine. The aftercooler weighs 34 kg (75 lb) .

Remove six gaskets (21) from the engine.

Remove adapter (22) and the O-ring seal from aftercooler (3) . Repeat the procedure for the other end of the aftercooler.

Remove adapter (23) and the gasket from aftercooler (3) . Repeat the procedure for the other end of the aftercooler.

Remove 22 bolts (24) in order to separate cover (25) from housing (26) .

Remove cover (25) and the gasket from housing (26) .

Remove core assembly (27) and the gasket from housing (26) .

Remove O-ring seal (28) from core assembly (27) . Repeat the procedure for the other end of the core assembly.
