When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.

PROBLEM
Some of the 5P8194 Retaining Rings in dealer parts stock may have tabs that can break off and fall into the transmission suction screen. The broken tabs are causing customer concern but have not resulted in any failures. 5P8194 Retaining Rings in dealer parts stock need to be inspected to determine which type of tab they have.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 5P8194 Retaining Rings in dealer parts stock.
1) If the ends of the ring look like the ring shown in Image1 return the ring to stock.
2) If the ends of the ring look like the ring shown in Image2 the ring needs to be removed from stock. Rings that have ends that look like the ring in Image2 should not be used.
