Introduction
This special instruction outlines the basic steps in order to replace the hydraulic lines that run from the steering clutch control valve to the transmission case. The repair procedures will replace the former hard hydraulic lines and fittings with the new hydraulic hoses and fittings. The new hydraulic hoses and fittings will improve the reliability of the steering system.Do not perform any of the procedures until you have read the information in this publication.Refer to the appropriate Parts Manual, Operation and Maintenance Manual, or Service Manual.Required Parts

Remove the hose assembly (3), which is the drain line into the transmission case.Note: Some oil will drain from the transmission case when the line is removed. Use a suitable container for proper storage or disposal.
Remove the elbow (2) from the left steering clutch valve.
Remove the elbow (2) from the transmission case.
Remove the flared connector (1) from the transmission case.
Remove the tube (5) from the steering clutch valves.
Remove the connector (4) from the left steering clutch valve.
Remove the O-ring tee (6) and the connector (4) from the right steering clutch valve.Installation Procedure
Note: Refer to Illustration 2 for the D3C, D4C, and 933 machines. Refer to Illustration 3 for the D5C and 939 machines.

Install connector (7) and O-ring seal (8) into the open port on the left steering clutch valve.
Install connector (7) and O-ring seal (8) into the open port on the right steering clutch valve.
Install connector (10) in the open port in the transmission case.
Install the tee (9) onto connector (10) in the transmission case.
Use this step for D3C, D4C, and 933 machines. Use Step 6 for the D5C and 939 machines.
Install hose
