Description of Change: A new O-ring is now used on the engines that are listed above. The new O-ring creates an improved seal between the oil pan and the cylinder block when compared to the present O-ring seal.Adaptable To: The new 379-5053 O-Ring Seal is a direct replacement for the 6V-3830 O-Ring Seal. The new 379-5053 O-Ring Seal is adaptable back to the first production of the listed engines.Groups included are: 269-6543 Oil Pan Cover, 269-6544 Oil Pan Cover, 265-5831 Oil Pan Cover, 188-4645 Oil Pan Cover, and 269-6429 Oil Pan Gp . The change is effective at the factory with the engine serial numbers SXC05484-UP.
