CONTROL VALVE GROUP 9P3209 - Caterpillar

Start By:
Remove the reversible fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Reversible Fan - Remove".
Remove the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the hydraulic oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".
Drain the coolant into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

Remove plate (1) .

Disconnect hose (2) from the bottom of the radiator assembly.

Remove clip (3) from the fan shroud.

Disconnect hoses (4) and remove clip (5) .

Remove tube (6) .

Remove brackets (7) and (8). Remove bracket (9) .

Remove tube (10) and bracket (11) .

Remove clips (12). Place tube assembly (13) to the side.

Remove bracket (14) from the front side of the radiator assembly.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to radiator and hydraulic oil cooler assembly (15). The weight of radiator and hydraulic oil cooler assembly (15) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb). Remove bolts (16) and remove radiator and hydraulic oil cooler assembly (15) .
