Turn over impeller wheel (24). Put the retainer in the correct position. Install eight bolts (25). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 50 7 N m (36.9 5.2 lb ft).

Install six pins (26) in carrier (27) .
Install seal ring (28) on the carrier.Note: Use caution in order to avoid damaging seal ring (28) during the installation of the carrier in the impeller wheel.
Put SAE 30W oil on seal ring (28). Pull the ends of the seal ring together. Put carrier (27) in the correct position on the impeller wheel.
Use Tooling (A) to install carrier (27) in impeller wheel (24) .

Turn over the impeller wheel. Install two 3/8 inch guide bolts. Put stator (29) in the correct position. Install the eight bolts. Evenly tighten the eight bolts to a torque of 30 5 N m (22.1 3.7 lb ft).

Turn over the impeller wheel. Install Tool (E) on impeller wheel (24) and on the carrier. Attach a suitable lifting device. Put the impeller wheel and the carrier in the correct position on housing (8). Remove Tooling (E). Install the 36 bolts. Tighten the 36 bolts to a torque of 30 5 N m (22.1 3.7 lb ft).

Heat race (30) to a temperature of 135 °C (275.0 °F). Heat the race for a maximum of ten minutes. Install the race on shaft assembly (31) .
Install seal ring (33) on the shaft assembly.
Heat bearing (32) to a temperature of 135 °C (275.0 °F). Heat the bearing for a maximum of ten minutes. Install bearing (32) on shaft assembly.

Note: Use caution in order to avoid damaging seal ring (33) during the installation of the shaft assembly in the converter assembly.
Put SAE 30W oil on seal ring (33). Pull the ends of the seal ring together. Install shaft assembly (31) and the bearing in the converter assembly.
Use Tooling (F) to install retaining ring (34) .
Install O-ring seal (36) on carrier (27). Put SAE 30W oil on the seal.
Install lip seal (35) in the carrier. The lip of the seal must face the bearing. Put SAE 30W oil on the lip of the seal.

Install Tooling (E) on cover (37). Attach a hoist.
Use two 3/8 inch - 24 NF guide bolts to install cover (37) on the converter assembly. Be certain that O-ring seal (36) remains in the correct position during the installation of the cover.

Install bolts (42). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 54 3 N m (39.8 2.2 lb ft).
Install yoke (41). Put O-ring seal (40) in the correct position on yoke (41). Install retainer (39) and bolt (38). Tighten bolt (38) to a torque of 122 7 N m (89.9 5.2 lb ft).

Put bearing (43) in gear (44). Put gear (44) and one disc (47) on each side of the gear in the carrier. Install shaft (45) .
Align the hole in shaft (45) and the hole in the carrier. Install pin (46).
