The doors on the right side of the machine provide access to this component.CAAC control valve (1) contains four solenoids. The main CAAC ECM controls the CAAC solenoids. The function of each solenoid is as follows:
When front CAAC extend solenoid (2) is energized, oil is directed into the head end of the front CAAC cylinder. In this case, the vibratory amplitude of the front drum decreases.
When front CAAC retract solenoid (3) is energized, oil is directed into the rod end of the front CAAC cylinder. In this case, the vibratory amplitude of the front drum increases.
When rear CAAC extend solenoid (4) is energized, oil is directed into the head end of the rear CAAC cylinder. In this case, the vibratory amplitude of the rear drum decreases.
When rear CAAC retract solenoid (5) is energized, oil is directed into the rod end of the rear CAAC cylinder. In this case, the vibratory amplitude of the rear drum increases.CAAC control valve (1) also contains two line relief valves and pressure reducing valve (7). One line relief valve (6) is in the line to the head end of the front CAAC cylinder. Other line relief valve (8) is in the line to the head end of the rear CAAC cylinder. The line relief valves limit the pressure in these lines to a maximum of 1100 kPa (160 psi). Pressure reducing valve (7) reduces supply pressure from the steering system to 1800 200 kPa (261 29 psi).Each port in CAAC control valve (1) is identified by letters or an alpha-numeric designation that is stamped into the housing next to the port. The function of each port is as follows:
