Illustration 21. Two views of plate (1). Top view before bend development. Bottom view after bend development. 1. Make one plate (1) according to the dimensions in Illustration 21. Use a 16 mm (.62 in) thick plate of structural steel which meets ASTM A36.
Illustration 22. Two views of plate (2). Top view before bend development. Bottom view after bend development. 2. Make one plate (2) according to the dimensions in Illustration 22. Use a 16 mm (.62 in) thick plate of structural steel which meets ASTM A36.
Illustration 23. Two views of plate (3). Top view before bend development. Bottom view after bend development. 3. Make one plate (3) according to the dimensions in Illustration 23. Use a 16 mm (.62 in) thick plate of structural steel which meets ASTM A36.Installation of Fabricated Parts
Illustration 24. Location of 101-2174 Plate and 101-2173 Plate.1. Remove reinforcing plates 101-2174 and 101-2173 shown in Illustration 24.
Illustration 25. 2. Tack weld plates in position as shown in Illustration 25. Each weld length must be more than 50 mm (2 in). Clearance between the bucket and the fabricated plates must be within 1 mm (.04 in). If the clearance exceeds 1 mm (.04 in), remove the nonconforming plate and reform the plate and tack weld plate onto the bucket.3. Finish weld plates (1), (2) and (3) in accordance to Illustration 25.4. Prepare weld area surfaces for painting. Remove by grinding any weld overlap or weld undercut. Surfaces must be ground smooth. Remove any weld berries.5. Apply a good coat of primer and finish paint to all repaired surfaces and new surfaces.Rework Procedure for 7I-6653 Bucket Assembly
